How to use the Standard Search

All standards that are currently available through the framework are listed on this screen.

How the framework works

Apprenticeship standards and associated training can all be procured through the YPO framework.

Direct Award

Contracting authorities (CAs) will be able to procure via direct award for all standards on the framework.

Further Competition

Contracting authorities (CAs) will be able to procure via a further competition for all standards on the framework.

How to use the Standard Search

To search standards you can:
- Scroll through all standards
- Search a standard in the search engine
- Filter the results by the route

You can then click on ‘view standard’ to learn about the specific standard information, providers, tender responses, and pricing. You will be required to login to view provider documents and pricing.

Apprenticeship providers information
There are some standards that don’t currently have providers listed against them - this is shown against each standard title.

The framework is continuously available for providers to bid on standards. If you cannot find a provider in your region on our website, that means they’re currently not on the YPO Apprenticeship Framework, please encourage them to bid through our Supplier Tendering Portal: https://tendering.ypo.co.uk/

Direct Award

A direct award is where a CA carries out an assessment on the criteria set in the framework documentation to decide which provider they would like to award a call-off contract.

Providers were assessed on their quality and pricing ability to deliver the relevant standard through the evaluation of the YPO framework.

The YPO website can be used to collect information to allow you to make an assessment of providers, or it can be used to carry out the direct award. CAs will have the ability to carry out a direct award through their own internal process or via the YPO website.

Further Competition

When creating a framework, YPO aims to evaluate providers based on criteria relevant to any organisations that may decide to utilise the framework.

It’s understood that some CAs may then wish to ask their relevant method statements or pricing for their own organisation. A further competition gives CAs the ability to do this.

CAs will have the ability to carry out a further competition through their own internal process or via the YPO website. The YPO website can be used to collect information to allow you to make a decision on your further competition, or it can be used to carry out a further competition.
